Lisa Mastoon combines her expertise in creating powerful news stories with
a keen sense of the local, state and national media markets to raise the profile
of numerous issues for her clients. These efforts have garnered coverage in a
wide range of print, television and radio outlets. Mastoon executes both national
and local media strategies for a variety of the firm’s corporate and non-profit
clients, including National Environmental Trust (NET) and the Children’s
Hospital of Philadelphia.
Before joining Ceisler Jubelirer, Mastoon worked at FOX Philadelphia, where
she managed the local news operation in the nation’s fourth largest television
market. Rising through the ranks at FOX, she served as producer, managing editor
and assistant news director. She helped the station increase its local news ratings
and personally received two Emmy Awards for news coverage and news specials.
Prior to joining FOX Philadelphia, Mastoon worked as a producer at 6 ABC in Philadelphia
where she oversaw the editorial content, story development and writing for the
station’s top-rated 11 p.m. newscast. Her work at 6 ABC yielded multiple
Best Newscast awards from the Associated Press and other media organizations.
Additionally, Mastoon worked at WPLG-TV and WSVN-TV in Miami, FL, where she
produced top-rated 11 p.m. and early morning newscasts. Her career in production
work began at CNN as an assignment desk assistant, followed by a position at
KYW-TV/KYW News Radio as a production and desk assistant. She then went on to
produce the11 p.m. newscast at WBRE-TV in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Mastoon received her bachelor’s degree cum
laude in Journalism from
Temple University. She received her master’s degree summa cum laude in
Family Therapy from Hahnemann University, and spent a number of years working
in research and treatment in that field.
